In only few years we will have the laser lights and probably BMW will be first company producing it. BMW are working on it, saying that laser lights come with a lot of advantages, at all the chapters and maybe less costs.
German engineers manufacturer laser lights say that will be plenty of new features designed to enhance more visibility and safety for both driver and other road users, including pedestrians.
Laser technology allows the design of virtual parallel beams with an intensity of 1,000 times that of current LEDs and normally the beam is “processed” to not be danger to any being.
And there is an issue that keeps the economy. Laser lighting is more efficient, consuming less than half the power of LED lights and we will not only have much better light, but also fuel economy.
This system is present on BMW i8 Concept is present, but we don’t know for sure if it will be on the series version of the model in 2014. We just have to wait and see.
